AMARA - GRIP SYSTEM

Synthetic leather made of 60% polyamide and 40% polyurethane, which is weatherproof, soft, and comfortable. Also offers excellent grip and is therefore often used on the palms of gloves.

HIPORA - WATERPROOF INSERT

Polyurethane or polyester based material designed to create a protective barrier against the elements, while allowing moisture to escape from within. Seams are welded with a special heat sealed tape to ensure no water can penetrate from outside.

FORCEFIELD BODY ARMOUR

Forcefield Body Armour creates industry leading, award wining sport protection. Specialising in soft armour from beginning and utilising cutting edge materials and construction methods, Forcefield is popular among Professionals. PLUS Racing Gear uses this award winning and simply rated as one of the best CE level 2 body armour in the market in all of its high end leather suits.

KANGAROO LEATHER

Kangaroo hide is far more abrasion resistant than cowhide of the same thickness. This is because, unlike cows, kangaroos only sweat through their tail and therefore there are no pores in the hide. Kangaroo garments can therefore be lighter and provide more ‘feel’. Special tanning and drying methods mean kangaroo hide is resistant to moisture and so is less likely to loose its shape or degrade over time.

KEPROTEC - STRETCH SYSTEM

Another space-age material from Schoeller. It offers outstanding abrasion protection, tear resistance, temperature resistance, higher comfort level and is ideal for reinforcing high-risk areas on a variety of garments.

KNOX SPS - PALM PROTECTORS

Knox SPS eliminates the grab effect of normal gloves because it allows the palm to slide forward, reducing the risk of scaphoid injury. Scaphoid injury is the most common hand injury caused by the grab effect when the palm of the hand makes contact with the ground. Knox SPS gives riders effective protection against common scaphoid injuries caused by either a compression fracture or by hyper extension.

LEATHER

The traditional ‘go-to’ material for motorcyclists. While often not as practical or adaptable as textiles, leather still leads the way in abrasion resistance and, with the right care, is extremely durable. With wear, leather garments ‘break in’ and mould to the body. The final thickness of the leather varies from 1.0 to 1.3 mm. PLUS Racing Gear uses the same type of leather for all of its sponsored riders and regular customers.

SAS TEC - BODY PROTECTION SYSTEM

PLUS Racing Gear uses SAS TEC protectors at critical areas of all high end garments such as shoulders, elbows, knees and back. SAS TEC protectors offer high absorbability despite low density. Contrary to hard shell protectors, SAS TEC foam reacts promptly and without any time delay even to minor impacts.

SAFETY SEAM SYSTEM

PLUS Racing Gear uses triple-stitched safety seams at critical areas such as shoulders, arms, hips, knees and back. Two seams are used – one of which is covered by folded material – so that the garment is far more likely to hold together when the outer seams are exposed to abrasion in the event of a fall. All expansion zones are additionally protected with KEVLAR seams.

STINGRAY LEATHER

The most abrasion resistant material that is pliant enough to be used in the manufacturing of gloves as well as on crash zones of a leather suit. It is backed with shock absorbing gel pads in order to allow fallen riders to slide more easily with less chance of fractured limbs cause by rolling.

SUPER FABRIC - REINFORCEMENTS

A mix of 32% polyester and 68% epoxy resin creates a super-tough material which offers full flexibility as well as extremely high cut and abrasion resistance. PLUS Racing Gear uses Superfabric to reinforce crash zones on certain garments and gloves.

TFL COOL LEATHER

Revolutionary treatment for black leather which helps it reflect solar radiation in the same way that white leather would, keeping the surface up to 20°C cooler and the wearer up to 12°C cooler, without the impracticality of wearing light colours. The improved UV resistance of TFL COOL™ leather also increases the garment’s lifespan. TFL COOL™ items should only be treated with transparent dubbin, as described in the garment care instructions.

THINSULATE - INSULATION SYSTEM

The unique microfibres of Thinsulate Insulation are about ten times smaller than the fibres of other synthetic insulations, which means they‘re much more efficient at trapping air…and much more effective at keeping you warm. It also means we can pack many more of them into the same space, where they reflect back more of your body‘s radiant heat.

DUAL LAYER PROTECTION SYSTEM

PLUS Racing Gear uses double layer of leather on all crash zones of its leather suits that cover elbows, shoulders, knees and hips

POLYMESH LINING

PLUS Racing Gears uses lining that is made from a technical insert which is waterproof and breathable, but also from a textile material that is bringing comfort, lightness and a great comfort feeling when it is in contact with your skin.
